Parish Blini Fundraising Luncheon – 15 February 2026, 12:30 PM
St. Xenia Parish has a long-standing tradition of hosting the annual Blini Fundraising Luncheon. Last year’s event was a great success, thanks to the efforts of the parish council, the Sisterhood, and the many volunteers who helped with the preparations. This year, the Parish Council, Sisterhood, and Brotherhood are again organizing the event for our community, which will take place on February 15, 2026, at 12:30 PM. Funds raised will go toward the parish’s operational requirements, with a special focus on helping those in need. A traditional pre-Lenten Russian meal, the Maslenitsa or Butter Week menu, will be offered, including blini, red salmon caviar, and various other traditional toppings. A…

Feast of the Transfiguration & Blessing of Fruit – August 2025
This Feastday commemorates the moment on Mount Tabor when Christ revealed His divine glory to His disciples Peter, James, and John. His face shone like the sun, and His garments became dazzling white, offering a glimpse of the uncreated light of God. This event, rich in theological meaning, also has a deeply sacramental and liturgical expression: the traditional blessing of fruits, especially grapes, on this holy day.

Holy Unction at St. Xenia Parish – April 11, 2025 (Friday) at 6:30 PM
During Great Lent, Orthodox parishes make special efforts to conduct the Mystery of Holy Unction, also known as the Anointing of the Sick. This sacrament provides both physical and spiritual healing through holy oil that has been blessed by the Holy Spirit. At the end of the service, each person's body is anointed with this oil, and the grace of God is invoked to heal both their soul and body. Please make every effort to attend this important service as part of your Lenten and Holy Week preparations.
