“Holy Blessed Xenia pray unto God for us”
Welcome to the website of the Blessed St. Xenia of Petersburg Church in Canada’s capital, Ottawa.
This is a parish of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. The ruling diocesan bishop is Right Reverend Gabriel, Archbishop of Montreal and Canada. The parish rector is Very Reverend Father Oleg Mironov.
On Saturdays, Vigils are served at 6:00 p.m. and Sunday Divine Liturgies are celebrated at 10:00 a.m.. Weekday Vigils are served at 6:00 p.m. and Divine Liturgies at 10:00 a.m.. The services are conducted primarily in traditional Church Slavonic, although some English is used as well.
Recommended Times for Confession
- During the All-Night Vigil (6:00–8:00 p.m.) on the evening before the Divine Liturgy
- Before the Divine Liturgy (9:00–10:00 a.m.)
- Immediately following the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy (around 11:30 a.m.)
