Patronal Feast, September 19-20, and Other Parish Events
Dear brothers and sisters, this week our parish celebrates its Patronal Feast, the commemoration of Blessed Xenia of St. Petersburg, the heavenly patroness of our church. The festal services will be led by His Eminence Archbishop Gabriel of Montreal and Canada.
On Saturday, September 19, at 6:00 p.m. – the All-Night Vigil. On Sunday, September 20, at 10:00 a.m. – the Divine Liturgy. At the end of the Liturgy there will be a procession around the church, after which everyone is invited to the parish hall for a festive meal.
Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos. On Sunday, September 20, at 6:00 p.m. – the All-Night Vigil for the feast. On Monday, September 21, at 10:00 a.m. – the Divine Liturgy for the Nativity of Our Most Holy Lady the Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary.
Annual General Meeting. On Sunday, September 27, immediately following the Divine Liturgy, our Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place. We ask all parish members to take part: together we will look back on the past year and discuss our plans for the year ahead.
A reminder that you need to be a registered parish member in order to take part in the meeting. If you have not yet completed your membership, the form can be found here.
Parish life. We are glad to remind you that lunch is now served after the Sunday Divine Liturgy. We invite everyone to stay after the service to share a meal and spend some time together.
The Sisterhood and Brotherhood are always happy to welcome newcomers. If you would like to join in their work and help our parish, please speak to any member of the Parish Council.
We look forward to seeing everyone at the upcoming services and parish gatherings. All are welcome!
