Our Parish Rejoices in the Ordination of Fr. Deacon Kenneth Quilty
We are delighted to share the joyful news that, on the Feast of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, our own Subdeacon Kenneth Quilty was ordained to the Holy Diaconate at Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, New York.
This year the feast coincided with a Sunday, and the festal Divine Liturgy was celebrated by His Grace Bishop Luke, Abbot of Holy Trinity Monastery, together with the monastery and seminary clergy. At the request of His Eminence Archbishop Gabriel of Montreal and Canada, Bishop Luke ordained Fr. Deacon Kenneth during the Divine Liturgy.
Following a period of practical training at Holy Trinity Monastery, Fr. Deacon Kenneth will return to Blessed Saint Xenia of Petersburg Russian Orthodox Church in Ottawa, where he will continue his ministry as a deacon.
We also extend our heartfelt congratulations to Matushka Sandy. May the Lord grant her strength, joy, and abundant grace as she and Fr. Deacon Kenneth begin this new chapter of service to Christ and His Holy Church together. May the Lord grant them wisdom, strength, good health, and many years of faithful service to His Holy Church.
